What will we do as Chiropractors?

Chiropractors are doctors that specialize in musculoskeletal injury, pain management, exercise prescription, sports injury, rehabilitation and many other areas of health and fitness. During the initial visit, a full health history will be taken. Question will be asked regarding symptoms, health, and lifestyle.

What do I need to bring?

Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. If you have them and if they are relevant, bring any X-ray or MRI reports and a list of your medication. You may also bring a comfortable change of clothes such as a t-shirt or shorts if you wish.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. Some patients respond positively to treatments within the first or second sessions, while others may take a few more treatments to see your improvement.  After a thorough assessment, our doctors will discuss the treatment plan for your condition.

What conditions can Acupuncture treat?

Acupuncture can treat a wide variety of conditions including pain management, weight loss, stress management, difficulty sleeping, women’s health issues, allergies, cold/flu, heart/lung/liver/kidney conditions, gastrointestinal conditions, and many more. Along with being an effective treatment for a variety of conditions, acupuncture can effectively maintain wellness and accomplish rejuvenation both internally and cosmetically.

Is Acupuncture safe for children?

Yes! In some instances, children actually respond more quickly than adults. The most common conditions that we treat for children are sport injury sprain/strain, acne, asthma/chronic cough, allergies, digestion and weight issues.

Why do kids need chiropractic care?

From learning to walk to playing sports and even daily activities such as wearing heavy backpacks, children are susceptible to a wide range of factors that can contribute to subtle misalignment in the spine. It may take years for these misalignments to develop into pain or structural compensations such as scoliosis, but the signs are often hard to see until it is too late. Chiropractic care removes interference in the nervous system through a gentle adjustment to your child’s spine.

What should I wear to my appointment?

You can wear regular clothes to the office. Loose comfortable clothing such as a t-shirt or shorts are preferable so our doctors can easily access areas such as the knee and elbow. If we are treating your spine with acupuncture, you may ask to change into one of our gowns or modest underwear.

How do I make an appointment?

You can get in touch by phone (626-839-8578) or use the form under the contact page. If you have health insurance, please provide us your insurance information before your appointment date, we will help you verify your benefit and inform you the payment option.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

No, chiropractors and acupuncturists can assess and treat without a referral by a doctor. However, some health insurances, such as Kaiser Permanente or Student Plan, require a doctor's referral before they authorize a treatment.

The sensation caused by an acupuncture needle varies. Since the needle is tiny, as thin as a human hair, most people do not feel pain at all and actually find the treatment relaxing.

Chiropractors meet rigorous educational requirements as stringent as those of any medical field. Accompanying a pre-medical undergrad education, chiropractic doctors complete an additional 4 to 5 years of professional study with clinical techniques training to master adjustments. Additionally, chiropractic curriculum are approved by accreditation, and doctors are subject to licensing and monitoring much like other doctors.
